How the art world fought apartheid • RFI English
Apartheid ended in South Africa, in the spring of 1994, when the African National Congress led by Nelson Mandela was elected to govern the country.
Thirty years on, for RFI I met with some of the activists who made this fight possible, like the set designer, collage artist and painter Sam Nhlengethwa, who's been supported for years by the progressive Goodman Gallery.
