Music & Politics: The Pop Group - 'Nations'

The Pop Group - 'Nations'

Face to face with a very ugly transgressive leisure
Enough poverty is not only obscene but nausea-inducing
This evolved into the shit-on-the-wall blanket protests
And much worshipped horror tropes of their fore bearers / split personalities
Decades of deceptions /
American gods/infringe/or go beyond/the boundaries of a moral principle
The taboo diseased
Long before any of these things became famous
You better believe it
Scandalocity
Twisted logic
Hell is empty
Occluded from the delusions of time
The mirror of this text
Denial of service attack
The real madness
Deranged victims of gruesome consumerism
Conveniently blamed on your psychotic other half
Maybe nothing surprises us anymore?
Maybe nothing is sacred?
The disappointed voyeur
More suburban numbness
More existential boredom
The zombification of society
Is often the implication of society
The cross contamination
Of invisible positives
Predate fascination
Defiant
Dark
The other
Wholesale lies
Out of the shadows
Barbarians at the gates
Transgress the 21st century
Robbed of its vividness
Multiples auto bots
Physically non-violent forms
What brand of truth is yours?
No new freedom
Trash-aesthetics
Choose a fucking big television
Choose a starter home
Choose your friends
Choose leisurewear and fucking matching luggage
Nations of couch potatoes
Chained to their TV screens
In the ultimate gameshow
‘Welcome to the rain’
Crash, slash, become possible
Exchange strange currencies
Processed world
Your lifestyle is on trial
Project Phoenix
Remote viewing
Montauk boys
This message will self-destruct in ten seconds
Crash palace
Pay the rent - boy
Trash mansion morality invented
The transgression of internally invented ideals
The raging illnesses of our age
Transgress or act against the system
Power cut
Each is a resignation
Vote apathy
No disruption of the status quo
Critical mass is a syntactic distinction
A maddening cut up of historical reason
Or aggravated desensitization
Of other devices
Choice
Sin
Paralysis
Of synthetic diminished pleasures
The addiction doesn’t
But the addiction is
Part of the ride
We’re all addicted to something
Money
Sex
Television
Paranoia
Notoriety
Corporate crime
I was contextualised in relation to these things

This message will self-destruct in ten seconds
