Back from three days in Tunis talking about press freedom and freedom of speech on World Press Freedom Day, May 3rd, this year being the 20th edition of the UNESCO day.
I interviewed a couple of Tunisian news directors and journalism trainers. The report will be on Al Qarra Tv next Tuesday.
Mixed feelings from Tunisia. Politically, the situation remains unstable. In terms of media freedom, the climate has change completely and the government finally backed the HAICA on May 3rd, "la Haute autorité indépendante de la Communication audio-visuelle".
Socially, Tunis shows so much diversity and evolving changes that it is hard to predict where the wind is going to turn...
